It's supposed to be really cold starting tomorrow until like Thanksgiving here. Gotta make sure I remember to turn my defrosters on full blast when I get out of the van so my remote start actually, you know, defrosts the windows when I turn it on.
Have some snow hooning Regal GS AWD.
And a beauty shot, because it really is a pretty car.
I still laugh at the fact this was originally gonna be a Saturn. It was going to be the new Aura.

Shame there isn't a GS RWD

Remote start is probably on the list of 5 features I think my car ought to have and I want but it doesn't have.

It was going to be a Saturn? Interesting. I always wished they kept Saturn, I thought they were getting somewhere with the Opel cative imports. If they still existed, I imagine they could have been importing small, youth oriented Opels, while the higher end Opels went to Buick.

Shame we don't get what Europe gets. 2.8T, AWD, and a manual.

That's fine. WE NEED RWD BUICK. not FWD biased AWD. RWD

You're telling me your fancy A8L doesn't have remote start but my clunker van does? Oh boy Germany.

Did it *come* with it, or did you have it installed?

The amount of later, opel-based Saturns I see on the road is fascinating. Hell, my mom drive an Antara-based Vue. They seemed to be building a customer base again, it was just too little, too late.

I will almost guarantee we will never see another RWD Buick. Unless they end up making something for them on the Kappa or Alpha platforms.

It was on it when we bought it, that's all I know.

I never felt the need for remote start when I lived in Pa. I would go outside, cut the ice out of the key slot, break the door open, force the key in the frozen ignition, start it, crank up the heat, and then go back inside for about 20 minutes.
Inb4 idle warm-up doesn't work, high-idle in the cold is wonderful.

See, the last time we had a remote start installed on one of our cars, it resulted in the car being stolen. So we don't do that anymore.

Erm, whoever installed it didn't do it right then. There's supposed to be a system that kills it when the key isn't in the ignition and someone goes to press the brake to shift it into gear.

You just copied and pasted an excerpt from a remote-start installation ad, didn't you?

The key was in the ignition. It was stolen while the system was being installed, not because of the system, but that's a story for another day.

Oh.

Then the only Buicks I'll be buying are old ones. I like the feel of RWD better, no supposed performance bullcrap or anything like that. I just prefer it.

Bro, it's going to be snowing here in Wichita... count yourself lucky ;) Also, is the wind blowing in your area?

There was snow in the forecast, but last I checked it changed.
It's so windy, the whole damn house is creaking.

LOL yep... the wind is blowing from the north at around a steady 35MPH :(

No, I was serious. Unless the car came with it, I wouldn't waste my money on it.
